This was the original "SMURF SONG" I know that spawned a dance called,"THE SMURF". Bakersfield, California - I bought the 45' after hearing it on the radio and my neice taught me the dance. Summer's end, at the Kern County Fair, there was a DJ spinning and he played it. My neice was shy, but I got out there by myself. There was a line of couples facing each other doing The Smurf and I was happy just dancing, next to them. I was the only Hispanic (european skin) guy. It was my favorite song!

@TheQpwoeiruty1029384 Trust me - when he says this song was sooooooooooo koooooooooool.....he's is so teeling you the truth. This was pure quality when it was released back in the day. If you liked this, you were in the "cool clan". Big-Up your Dad and Big-Up Newcleus!! I saw Newcleus live in London in the summer just gone. Met them outside too.

I'm 33 and I remember loving the hell out of this song as a kid, not just the Wikki Wikki part, I love the music. It was funky then & it's funky now. I was just 6 years old and I knew that this was the new funk at the time.
