nah it was around 125-130, i was top of 3rd gear, which with my th350 shortened 1st and 2nd my 3rd gear only goes to a lil over 135 at 6,000 rpms, i was about 5 and change on the tach.

Actually, with what I have always heard, that video proves his speed. The speed sign at 0:12 shows 45 MPH (I think) and when there is a dotted line. If you do the posted speed, you'll pass each line a second apart. (Ever wonder why the lines are diffrent lenths and spaced diffrent) So he passed about 3 lines a second right before he let off. So 1 in 1 seconds would be 45. 3 in 1 second would be about 135, give or take. Old cop trick to catch speeders! either way, looked like fun.

@joe71c10 Thats probably because you didnt have enough motor to pull that low rearend gear. No offense but i had basically the same set up you just explained and it would burry 120. If youda changed your gears your truck would have too.

As someone who has owned an s10 with a built V* and th350 trans I can tell you it isn't possible to do130. Maybe 110 at the most.

my truck had a 2.73 gear in the rear end and the most I could get was 120.

once he tops out the 85 mph speedo the accelerations doubles and he hits 130 in a second.

I'm a little doubtful on 130 myself... it may be a peppy little truck but I don't think it was 130 either.
