@EvilJimDice It's more for the benefit of the cult victims then the person they're attacking. By forcing them out there to do the "what are your crimes?" line it reinforces their indoctrination. It's about having them take their stuff out into the public, which then pushes them closer to the group as the wider community rejects them. Just occasionally it guilt-trips a new victim into signing on.
