WhalerCade Arcade System

Custom built arcade machine. The man in charge of this project is a huge Hartford Whalers fan, so the artwork on this machine was designed to reflect that. This machine has four 8-way joysticks with seven buttons for each. It also has a 4-way joystick as well as a trackball and a spinner. All buttons, joysticks and even the trackball are illuminated via backlit LED system which can be programmed via software. This system was constructed my MAMEROOM.COM and runs the Hyperspin front end from HYPERSPIN-FE.COM.

I think this particular configuration was somewhere over $6,000 - We received the light guns for it shortly after I made this video. I'm glad you like it!

Looks great! Thanks for giving me a great idea of where I should mount my spinner. The four way is also a great idea and I never thought of just mounting a separate stick.

If you do most of the work yourself you'll get it for a fraction of that. I'm currently aiming for the £400 mark (about $650) but this includes recycling a PC and monitor I've got laying around. I could get it cheaper but I can't build the cabinet myself.

If you pick up a second hand PC (the emulators won't need a top end machine and only two frontends need much RAM) you'll be able to get a bargain.

Great cabinet, love the art, button backlit, really nice :) could u tell me where i can find some info on the changing led color while pressed? are you using Ledwiz or something?
