South Africa Military/Artilary Open Day - Potchefstroom

Well, it was Potchefstroom Military/Artillery open day, and they decided to show us some of their "equipment".

What they did was, for example, they said, heres the mortor, its so big, its this much, shoots this far, then they shot about 5 times, then they moved to the G5, they explained what it was, how big it was, distance, accuracy, then they shot a few rounds of it.

Then at the end, they shot all of them at once, this is that video. They shot them all after each other. If you look carefuly to the left, you can see that the rocket launchers start it off.

It was probably the 10 artillery regiment staging the exhibition. There are no "rag heads" near South Africa(if you are referring to Muslims in this way). Yes we do not have a world class army any more, but it hasn't stopped the US army ordering G7 artillery pieces from us or them sending their special forces over every year for training.

tanks ? I did not see tanks to the far right was Batteleur rocket arty then the G6 Self propelled guns, middle was the G5 guns then Batteleurs again and to the far far left was a few Rooikat armoured cars/tank hunter. what tanks did you see? and just go and have a look at the amount South-African weapons the USA uses
