I wish the education system would pay more attention to students who actually want to be there and learn, instead of, in my opinion, wasting their time on students who don't care about school. I think that's a big problem here in the United States with our public education system, because it is not just about graduating from high school, it should about about getting into a good university and graduating.

I've just started 6th form and although we don't have to wear uniform, we do have a dress code. Among normal rules that you'd expect, such as don't wear tops that show cleavage, it also says do not wear denim. I find this unfair, as this means that girls can only really wear smart trousers or leggings, but no one wears smart trousers; they just seem too formal and you'd get mistaken for a teacher. This affects learning because we're forced to wear things we're uncomfortable in.

i was ment to have help but even though my parents tryed to get me an assistent to help me it never happened i hardly learned anything because we copied out of text books and that didnt help me. Some subjects u should have a choice like religious education now unless your family wants you to i dont think you should do it some people dont like sports i do but i felt sorry for some who werent very good at football and just stood doing nothing on cold days

At one point he was saying that he wished there was more point to point work instead of one big test. I can say as an American that that's the way we do it here... point to point and I can say that it sucks.. I would consider myself an intelligent person who doesn't need to have facts pounded into my head to remember them and the point to point day to day I sucked at cause I didn't care everyday about the same crap but I would ace tests all the way through and I failed out because.....

But what really get me about the skl i went to is that it got the best HMI report in Scotland. If this is 'the best' Scottish skl i despair to think of the state of the rest. Thank you for reading.

Also my head of year yelled at a pregnant girl because her baby bump showed through her uniform and set a bad example for the first years. Lucky we have the "opportunity" in PSHE to give our opinion on the skl systems, the results being collated by our teacher and surprising when i rose the issue of the staff demeaning pupils when enforcing discipline it didn't make the cut.
