  • They are several ways to test for moisture on concrete. We demonstrated this method because it is inexpensive and uses common products homeowners have access to.

  • @cchanderson mate im from australia and the building trade here is the best

  • All you guys that say he should have did this he should have did that are ridiculous. Shut your unemployed mouths. There are a million ways to skin a cat...now that the building trade has went to shit go on the McDonalds hamburger video's and tell them how their wrist should have been at a 45 degree angle while flipping the half cooked patty.

    Losers.

  • @menace2merrylandsz id rather duck tape a piece of saran wrap on my floor than stand inline at Menards for a moisture reader ill never use again.

  • the EASIER way is to just buy a moister reader

  • wrong use rH testing. CaCL and this method have both been discredited.

  • @effenmontero if he used clear poly he would have seen droplets beneath the plastic immediately!!! I have done this a million times.

  • @staminqia - try not to be such a buttnugget ! So what, he picked the opaque instead of clear plastic, BFD !

  • you should have used clear poly dumbass

  • @mister2drums there are moisture vapor reduction systems available from professional flooring installers. Dont bother with the Home Depot stuff, it wont work over time. A proper moisture test, such as calcium chloride or relative humidity test should be conducted in order to find the amount of moisture coming through the top of the slab. A proper moisture vapor barrier is normally a modified epoxy system that the flooring will be installed on top of.

  • What do you do if you find moisture? How is this problem corrected?

    Thank You.
