I am totally and utterly captivated by this wonderful song, not least that I have a daughter called Caroline, I cannot erase this song from my head, the melody, the rhythm, the cadence, its wonderful, thank you for sharing this with us.. this is subtly shifting into my top ten... as camslab said, it could be 4 hours long and we would still be here listening, it is utterly hypnotic..

I usually dont listen to music like this but i actually like this but i like this song
-
awsome album!!
-
He's a singer-songwriter and he went in an americana-folk direction, thus the reason for getting a Grammy nom in the "folk" category....
-
My new favourite song <3

@Envee211 Agreed...he isn't "GONE country" but this album has so much of the depth of old, old mountain...music....erh....
Hey in concert, he was ALL blues & Rock in September. I don't care what you call it. It's just amazing :D!!!

I heard this withing for my coffee at Starbuck's last nite! Used my Sound Hound app and purchased it on the spot. FANTASTIC!
-
No, he's definitely gone in more of a country direction on this album. While it's not full on country, there is some very strong country influence behind it.
-
@liverbrist Heh he IS awesome, isn't he?
most of his stuff is labeled "bluesy rock" but you are totally right, this feels so country...slack key guitar and all!
-
this is a beautiful track
-
This seems appropriate today....
-

@liverbrist This isn't country, this is Ray LaMontagne.
