This is from the Star Trek : Deep Space Nine episode "7x15 : Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang", at the end where James Darren and Avery Brooks sing a little duet. Like most of Darren's songs, it's a Sinatra tune.

The episode was alright. Certainly trying to be very comedic right before the nine part finale which was, for the most part about depressing matters. An impressive segue.

An interesting note: until about 25 minutes into the episode, Sisko absolutely hated this period in time, and he thought Vic's program was stupid. It begs the question: How the hell does Sisko know the words?!

I might post more Vic Fontaine songs some day soon (because there's none on YouTube), but I might get banned by Viacom or something. Whatever!

  • Awsome. I was so sad when I started watching the last episode, I knew there won't be a better series. I have to say, i liked it even more than TNG. I don't know why, it was closer to me.

  • Only clueless fools would dislike this wonderful collaboration between 2 top notch actors with voices to die for

  • Odo should have been wearing a hat. He really would have pulled of the Humphrey Bogart look

  • @tarhonyapure It's because the characters had more Charisma. They all enriched each others performance.

  • One of the best Star Trek episodes ever made, from any of the franchises. Love it.

  • He really sings well. I haven't ever seen this episode.

  • my fave star trek is deep space 9. because of avery brooks

  • @gbob452 Yeah, Ben Sisko's particularly up on his Black History and songs of this style are very much part of his heritage - he's often singing swing songs, including joining in when Odo starts humming "They Can't Take That Away From Me" earlier in the series (or is it series 6?). He doesn't so much hate the period as he hates what establishments (like the bars in 60s Vegas and all over America) meant to black people - the fact that they could be entertainers or workers there but not customers.

  • Gods bless Star Trek. It brought my family together for the past 10 years. I hope that they bring out another Trek on TV soon. Nothing like battle star galatica/ or Caprica though. anyone else agree?

  • @tarhonyapure I would have to say in DS9 the characters had a more human in the now quality. While TNG was all about human imagination. =-)

  • @tarhonyapure mabe because that they didnt travel through space and stayed in one place you got more time to know the people
