The ACCC advises that selling of Crest Whitestrips is now prohibited in Australia. Crest has ceased selling these products to comply.

Crest contains concentrations of hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide that exceed the recognised safe limits for cosmetics that will be taken into the mouth for significant time periods.

Teeth-whiteners that contain concentrations of more than 6% hydrogen peroxide or more than 18% carbamide peroxide should NOT be supplied to consumers as they are unsafe.
