  • Great video. I would love to visit St. Simons Island one day as part of my recovery as well. I was never told of recovery as well having Schizoaffective Disorder - Bipolar Type. I was told like they were told in the video that I'd be taking medications for the rest of my life. It's much more deeper than that and I do believe recovery is possible.

  • Yes they are speaking the truth... great to see this! There is work that we must do after the diagnosis and it is one step at a time. You won't get anywhere unless you get started. So happy to see everyone here talking and sharing it's all a part of the healing.

  • Well done...and I remember St. Simons Island in Georgia....this is very educational for those less recovered.

  • I'm very thankful for the insights I redeived from a Wellness Recovery Action Plan group. Every member of the group shared their experience of what helps them to maintain their recovery. Its good to know that we are able to work and plan for our own wellbeing. It doesn't have to come from psychiatrists and social workers.
