I don't like being forced into the hospital. I am 6 weeks along and If you know of a midwife in the Winston Salem area that will do a home birth please email me.

I love the comments on this page. As a Student Midwife in the UK it is great to hear that things are changing to make the birthing experience less clinical. Midwives are trained to such a high level in the UK. We always turn to the midwife.

I have had all three of my children at home with a non-nurse midwife. Lots of North Carolinians are having their babies at home. Make homebirth a safer option for the people of NC - Legalize CPMs!!

I have 2 children both born at home by 2 different midwives and I want to say thank goodness they put their livelyhood on the line for us! Legalize My Midwife! Great Video KEEKERB!!!

I've had 4 kids at home and wouldn't think of bringing a baby into the world in any other setting. The safety of homebirth has been proven time and time again...now its NC's turn to stand up and take notice.

I had a midwife attended homebirth in Ocotber '06 here in North Carolina. I hope our lawmakers listen to our voices. Please Legalize my Midwife!
