Hatch: Vicki "Ought To Be Considered" For Senate Seat

Sen. Orrin Hatch, a longtime friend of the late Sen. Edward Kennedy, tells CNN's John King that his widow, Vicki, should be a candidate to replace her late husband in the Senate.

"I think Vicki ought to be considered," Hatch said, calling her "very brilliant... I have nothing but great respect for her."

Sen. Chris Dodd, a close friend of Ted, also supports Vicki if she chooses to go after a Senate seat. "Whatever Vicki wants to do, I'm in her corner," Dodd said. "Whatever she thinks is best, I'm for."
