It would be much faster with hand soldering (drag soldering). I only use hot air for DFN, QFN and BGA. But even DFN and QFN is easy with hand soldering (if your pads are long enough).

@jasaggio It is useful only in case of emergency and you don't have anything better soldering station. I can not recommend it for everyday use.
