How Can I Keep from Singing, arranged by John Elmquist, Easter 2010

Recorded on April 4, 2010 using a Flip Video camcorder. So okay, the Flip doesn't really do audio very well, so that is more of a remembrance of the morning than a faithful execution of the experience. But Lord, it was a moving performance! John Elmquist has written other beautiful and provocative pieces, but none more expressive of the absolute joy of singing and the gift it is to us, and from us.

One thing we see in the video is how the joy of the moment sneaks into the normally serious faces of the choir members. How can we keep from smiling!

John - this is excellent! "How Can I Keep from Singing?" is my favorite hymn. My dad did an original arrangement for my ordination back in 2006, but my favorite recording has to be the one by Rene Marie. I'm inspired!
