  • I don't feel like this technology replaces any process that we have in place for communication between deaf, hard of hearing and hearing. It's not removing barriers, it's just making it obvious that we can not communicate with each other without some computer at our side.

  • meh. I actually know one of the people who are on the patent for this software. Interesting piece of technology? Yes. But come back when it can put information into an ASL format. SEE... blech.

  • Unless it swaps out English syntax and grammar for ASL, it's got a very limited market. I can't see the general Deaf community being too excited about this, but then again, I'm just a hearie.

  • I am a robot!!

  • i soo wish i got that while i was in high school and college:(

  • @tastebuds i totally agree with this!!!!! :)

  • wow you lucky!

  • I wish everone would stop using " i " in front of every new product.

(apple is allowed, of course, because it is theirs to use :-).

This is neat technoology and could probably be built upon.

  • This is pretty freaking neat. I know a few people who could benefit from this. I am hard of hearing and would still use it.
