You're such a drag. The whole series describes the lives and philosophies of a range of characters with wit and lack of pretension and all you can do is moan about a joke about Romford.

I think it is a reference to teenage age pregnancy rates in Romford. It's probably irrelavent now. As you have no doubt gathered Mark wrote this specifically for a British audience so there are quite a few cultural references that make little sense to folks outside the UK. To be honest the Romford reference didn't mean anything to me either, but my town once held the record for rate of teenage pregnancies, so I got it straight away.
