@ChefDePatisserie I did bake a larger cake! I probably should have mentioned that. : ) I used a 21cm baking pan and the factors you supplied. I`ll try what you suggested with a lower temperature and longer duration. Once I see the cracks forming, I just want to take it out. : ) Thank you very much for the tip. This cake is to die for, even if mine is still a tiny bit gooey : )
can i make it in micro oven?

@arkolly You mean a microwave? That won't work. However, if the oven also has a normal baking mode (i.e. no microwave), then it might work... ;)

Hi Keiko. Great recipe thank you very much. Mine comes out great with the exception that the top middle part is still very gooey from the chocolate. This makes it very tricky to cut in layers and of course ... remove the top layer without it breaking it. I fear that If I leave it in longer, the outer edges will go dry. Any ideas as to where I may be going wrong? Thank you.

@tavrion Did you bake a larger cake? Increasing the baking time should fix the "gooey" problem. If the cake gets dry on the sides, you may need to decrease the baking temperature slightly. Good luck! :)

Keiko, I followed your recipe, but my cake didn't rise like yours, it was so dense. Before I baked it, the batter looked so thick.

@KalerTerang The cake is not as "fluffy" as a normal sponge cake. If you think that yours is too dense, still, then it's most likely because you overmixed after adding the meringue (egg white).
