More of the Black Hills Central from June 2001. Locomotive 110, recently restored to service, had developed a few minor mechanical issues that needed resolved (not uncommon for a steam locomotive that hadn't run in 35 years!). Engine No. 104 was fired up on June 14th to pull the 1880 while the BHC shop forces worked on the 110.
We see the 104 operating in the rain between Keystone and Hill City at many of the best photo locations, including Echo Canyon, Palmers Gulch, and Tin Mill Hill.
Later that afternoon the 110 is fixed and put back on the train, resuming its role as the primary engine on the Black Hills Central. This is the final video in this series depicting the 1880 Train in 2001.
Compare this footage to that of the 104 in 1992 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2z6gK7UOQE). The engine has been repainted along with the cars, and the track has been rebuilt. What a difference!
what is the other engine in the video, that's parked outside the shop with the tender?

That would be 2-6-2 No. 7, which is serviceable as well.
