  • Right, I can see the appeal (sort of) in owning a clio, they're small, reasonably inexpensive to buy, run and insure... but why get the V6? Yeah ok, they look pretty cool, and yes, they are quite quick.. but would you not rather spend the money on an E46 M3 or something? Because then, you get a car that will at the end of the day do 155mph+, carry 4 people in comfort and carry a boot full of shopping... AND 343bhp standard.. or if you do want a hot hatch kind of thing... get an Astra VXR?

  • @MrShaunyboyy

look the clio (v6) you get so many looks so yes it is a show off car

and i dont have it anymore i now have 911 turbo

  • Very nice car mate ! I drive a normal 1.5 diesel clio remapped to 115 BHP lol, but working my way up to one of these someday

  • @MrShaunyboyy i don't know where you live. but an M3 weights so much. here in holland we pay road tax.(we have taxes for everything, you have to pay more tax when you earn more money with work or something. sick!)

but beside that. the road tax in holland is based on the weight of the car and the fuel type. if you have diesel you pay twice as much road tax than a petrol engine. so an M3 is not recomendable in our region. thats why there are so manny clio 2.0 RS on the roads here :P

  • @MrShaunyboyy Yes but then its not a hatch that's a sedan, like saying why get the M3 when you can get the M5 that has 4 doors bigger boot and a bigger engine and higher top speed, The fact that a 3l V6 is in a small hatch it makes it more fun, i agree get the Vxr but at the time it was released like many other hot hatch's after the V6

  • @MrShaunyboyy The Clio is fast, it looks better and it's fast. And original styling. Did I mention that it will keep up with an E36 M3 Evo? And that it's fast? And sod passengers, if they are too cheap to buy their own car then they can walk. Oh and I have seen 173 on the clock on mine, which is a little more impressive than 155 I think you must agree if speed is how you judge things.

  • @GawdDamSquibblez Nah I prefer the Pajero any day :P You get a lot more looks in that when you're cruising than any wee hatch back ;) Just rev a bit higher than normal and spin the wheels at junctions. Does the trick fine. PLUS you get turbo whistle. ;)

  • @MrShaunyboyy lol yeh it would be fun... i love the body of this car, but i like all cars that are un-naturally wide like the VW scirroco thats a nice cruising car :D

  • @GawdDamSquibblez Haha I know, that's the appeal of the astra though isn't it? ;) Absolutely white knuckle driving all the time, it would get annoying after a while though, pulling away from the lights and swerving into a people carrier every time. I can understand why people don't like them :P But it would be a great laugh. I like the Clio too, don't get me wrong, it's lovely. But I just think the bodykit is a bit over the top. But hey, I drive a Pajero. What do I know ;)

  • @MrShaunyboyy lol Astra VXR's are crap... their good looking but suffer from extremely bad torque steer... personally i would still have the Clio V6 just because it's a beautiful car...

  • @MrShaunyboyy Speeding legally is what's awesome over here. As soon as you see the white circle with a black band through it, it might as well say " STICK YOUR FOOT DOWN BITCH" in the highway code. I just need a bit more than 75 HP in my clio, the handling is already awesome though.

  • @liamcollister Hahaa. Aw well definitely not what you need... just get a Pajero... can't fault mine. ;) just that it's a bit slow on the straights. Although in saying that, it managed 95 when we went to Skye with it... not bad for a 19 year old brute! :P But in all seriousness, the Isle of Man is just fantastic. I want to move there, like, tomorrow. And buy something rapid. The VXR would be nothing but fun here. The roads in the Highlands are brilliant, for one thing. Speed. illegal though... :/
