one of my favorite lines from "willy wonka and the chocolate factory" circa 1971.
its source is a poem by arthur o'shaughnessy circa 1874:
We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams;—
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems.
Nothing says POETIC JUSTICE like bratty kids getting traumatized. Love this film.

This is my absolute most favorite line from "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." I recently discovered that it is a quote from a poem by Arthur William Edgar O'Shaughnessy:
We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams;—
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems.
