Combine John Corzine with a description of the housing market and a discussion about why the economic picture doesn't bode well for state and local governments, and you've got about half of this episode of EMS Leadership Topics with Dana Love.

The intro segment talks about some of the EMS news over the past four weeks - from a train crash in Washington DC to a paramedic and a trooper scuffling in Oklahoma to the death of Michael Jackson - and digs into the New Jersey budget resolution to cut EMS training funds.

The remainder of the podcast, available for free on iTunes or at emsleadershiptopics.com, talks about the economy (in a calmer way than Rush Limbaugh, MSNBC or Glenn Beck do!) and gives some guidance on 2010 government revenues. We also talk about mentoring people in the fire and EMS community.

  • Have you ever heard of business guru Brian Tracy? You sound a lot like him!

  • I hadn't heard of him, but looking at his web site...thanks!

  • He's very inspiring. I've listened to a lot of his audio programs and I immediately thought your voice had a similar type of flow.

I'm glad you're calmer than Glenn Beck & Rush Limbaugh! Ultimately I'd like to see a truce between Democrats and Republicans, but I don't see it happening in the near future.
