IRAN - 30 years after its founding revolution, 2009 has seen the Islamic Republic of Iran enter one of the most unstable periods in its history. In June, conservative president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was reelected. But the results were contested and the ensuing protests descended into violence.

Ofcourse the army defended us - any army in the world would do the same But if a leader tells them to go out and beat up innocent people up becasue they are demonstrating for freedom and democracy then they can go to hell. And if theis basijis which you love so much (probably because you are an arab) If they charged into your home took you into evin prison and tortured you for months - Would'nt you think there is something really wrong about this government..?

Where have Khamenei's $30 billion come from? Not from writing religious books, or speaking internaitonally. NO.

Khamenei got the following funds thru corruptions:

$12 billion from commissions on oil sales

$2 billion from land

$6 billion from the arms business

$10 billion from Ahmadinejad in the past 4 years

am telling you iran is not heaven and not 100% islamic either but when you look around you its probably the best in that region and war will make it very very bad because many iranians still support the islamic way so they will fight hard and will be civil war for years that will serve no one. you can take off your hijab and even take off your underwear but not in the public> you can drink and do whatever vice in your homes but not in public.
