how to call and text on ipod touch for free

line2 is the app where u can call and text totally free in in any place with a wifi connection like (your home!) If you were to sit down somewhere in your home and it says you are "offline", at the bottem right of your ipod touch screen on the Line2 app that doesnt mean that line2 isnt working! It just mean need to walk around your home or wherever u r and call the same number in different spots to see if u get a connection. the reason you have to do this is because line2 uses disconnected att phone numbers so when you call someone it will pop up the old caller-id of the old user. so the reason u have find a connection by walking around is because u have to try to find a at&t connection where u r. this will work even if you dont use at&t serves in your house!(you can also text with this app!)

text now is a app where you can text anyone as long as you have a wifi connection. just because you dont have a wireless router in your home doesnt mean you dont have a wifi connection because i dont have a wireless router but i can still connect to wifi. to connect to wifi without a wireless router you have to try to find a unlocked connection u can share with a neighboor. to do this your have to go to settings go to wifi then turn "ask to join networks" (off) and walk around your houuse and see if you can pick up a connection that is unlocked. when you do click on the connection and you are ready to text your friends!!!

textfree is almost exactly the same as textnow but it has a better calling feature. textfree serveses give u a certain amount of minutes your can use then after u use all of them up u have to pay for a app that gives u new minutes. to get a wifi connection without a wireless router follow the exact same step for textnow.
