rococasio573 it IS eaten by sometimes starving natives ,who are very glad to see big game hunters in the area. Also funds from this go towards paying wardens to stop poaching ,the REAL danger to the elephants survival along with habitat loss. Would you complain if no animals were shot but they put up a themem park or mall.

I did some more digging. It really looks like you really have to expect to unload a bit over $10K to get something decent. B. Searcy & Co. of CA and the German Merkel are mentioned. The whole matter is the specialized beefy features of the double and the amazingly painstaking and complex process of "regulation" when the maker solders the two barrels together to shoot to the same point of impact. The point being that absolute reliability is essential.
