劉家昌作詞作曲的〈晚安曲〉被費玉清（當時藝名「費玉青」）公開演唱後，1979年4月12日，中國電視公司（中視）啟用〈晚安曲〉作為每日收播時必播的「收播曲」。19­79年10月31日，中視發行開播十週年紀念黑膠唱片《中視十年紀念》，〈晚安曲〉被收錄於第二面第六首（最後一首歌曲）。1993年，〈晚安曲〉被收錄在費玉清的同名個­人專輯《晚安曲》（飛碟唱片出版），但曲風與《中視十年紀念》收錄者不同，音階比《中視十年紀念》收錄者高。《晚安曲》專輯並獲得1995年度（第七屆）金曲獎最佳專輯（­1996年6月頒獎）。

台灣省戒嚴令遭廢之後，中視廢止「開播曲」與「收播曲」制度；但相當特殊的是，1991年後，〈晚安曲〉成為台灣各大百貨公司打烊時的預告歌曲；之後，甚至遍及諸如速食店­、商店、餐廳、麵包店、圖書館等公共場所。因此，〈晚安曲〉被暱稱為「打烊歌」。另外，中華民國國軍一些部隊就寢前也曾播放〈晚安曲〉。

2000年，台灣各種智慧財產權法令頒布後，〈晚安曲〉利用上雖受其影響，但迄今利用〈晚安曲〉通知顧客店家即將打烊的特殊現象，仍為台灣相當普遍的情況。

費玉清能夠控制他說話的時間，跟音樂的間奏剛剛好長度，緊接著繼續唱完《晚安曲》。
Fei Yuching is good at controlling the time for his statement, just the right length as the song interval for music. And then right away, he continues singing the ending of the song.

在演唱會裡的這首《晚安曲》，曲風採用《中視十年紀念》黑膠唱片版的前奏編曲，然而，音階卻是依照他個 人專輯《晚安曲》（飛碟唱片出版）的高音。
Over here at the concert when he sings this《Goodnight Tune》, the prelude is the same as that of CTVs Tenth Anniversary Edition, but his vocal is in his unique higher key as of his personal album (Flying Saucer Phonograph Record Publication).

this year, Xiaoge schedules is so tight, and I am still waiting for his concert appearance in Hong Kong. XiaoGe sings every of the songs does not miss the lyrics and I knew he can do it. 童话 the song he sing in 2009 is my favourite song that i like it so much for the past concerts i have listened.

You know how Xiao Ge sings. He does forget the lyrics sometimes. He will take a peek at a cheat-sheet of lyrics, if he needs to. If I was not wrong, I'll say he has sung this song 童话 around two years ago. It was nice, and he has lovely voice.
