  • proud to be bisexual? ok you lost me there... how can you be proud of something that isn't an accomplishment? i never was a fan of the whole gay pride thing.... it should be a no-shame thing, not pride. the idea of gay pride just makes it sound like it's a choice to me. but i can understand that it's purpose is to battle anti-gay attitudes, and kind of get the gay out there where people can see it. just a semantics nit pick of mine i guess.

  • I actually agree with the idea that pride should refer to things you have control over. You shouldn't have "gay pride" or "latino pride" or "American pride" in my opinion. When I say that I'm proud to be bisexual, I mean that I have no shame about my orientation and that I will show others that I am not ashamed. I'm simply using the common cultural vernacular on the subject. But I agree with your comment, sir.
