I've been using Pond's dry skin cream for almost a year now as she did state and it works very well for my slide. I've used superslick in the past and it worked good, but not as good as Ponds. Thanks for the advice!

Slide O Mix is the best... I use the big bottle and a spray bottle of tap water even if it does gum up your slide if you spray water on it everyday it should be fine

Slide-O-Mix 'light' for my yamaha... great for nice tight slides.
Slide-O-Mix regular for my 1957 king 3b silversonic. great for the average slide tolerances.
in the water spray bottle i use the Hetman Hydro-Slide trombone slide additive.
If you have a rotor valve check out Hetman 'Rotor' and 'Light Rotor' and they also make a 'Ball Joint' lube and 'Bearing and Linkage' for the ball joint and the lever hinge respectively.
Oh, and don't forget the tuning slide. Hetman of course.... 'Slide Gel'

in 1967 Robert Biddlecome gave me a sample of a new slide cream superslick, he told me that ponds cold cream was now made with chemicals and caused a build up of these on trombone slides, he and his brother bought the recipe from ponds and added silicon, cohn was going to market this new product.

Side-o-mix is better guys, doesnt last as long as Trombotine, but its definately better and doesnt "gum up" the slide
