I wasnt going to make this until July, but after watching two very moving documentaries on Elizabeth Taylor and Montgomery Clift this morning, and being moved by their beauty, their close friendship, as well as their exceptional acting work, I had to make it now.

A Place In The Sun is one of my favourite movies of all time. No romance ever touched me more, and no other onscreen couple seemed more perfect together.

I've used the song "We've Only Just Begun" by The Carpenters, because in the film, Liz & Monty's love had only just begun, they were planning their future, and were very happy. It is a beautiful song, and I hope you think it goes well with the clips and the film as a whole.

Liz & Monty were very good friends. Liz even saved his life, for after he crashed his car on the way home form Liz's party, Liz had to reach her hand down into his throat and remove a tooth so as to allow him to breathe.

This video is to celebrate the beginning of what would be a strong, true and close lifelong friendship

I love Liz & Monty so much, they really got each other and had fabulous chemistry. By the end Liz was going to pay for his insurance from her own pocket so he could star with her in "Reflections in a Golden eye" but then Monty died :(

you didnt get that smile from him very often you see at the start of this suppose it interfered with his moody persona by directors but it is a blinding smile too bad they didnt use it more often Hawks was the only one who did, not often but to its full force in a few scens in Red River

Wonderful tribute Hollywood's most beautiful & iconic actors. Liz & Monty... they rruly complimented each other. Just imagine what their kids woulda looked like. Back in the day, he nicknamed her "Bessie May." Maybe that sorta deglamorized her in his eyes, & perhaps despite her beauty, it made her more real & accessible.

Long ago, I started giving my loveliest female friends the middle name "May". I like it. They seem to like it, too. It just feels right somehow.
