Right firstly, don't call them 'Japs' it's like calling an African American a 'Nigger.' Secondly, that was the Imperial Flag of Japan, it is now the Imperial Navy's flag of Japan. It is called the 'Rising Sun' flag. It also used by the army of Japan, but slightly adjusted. Thirdly, this guy is about 32 years old. How the hell would he be a veteran of WW2? Think. He is a right wing political activist, a member of the Uyoku Dantai.
