He is certainly no Kisho Kurokawa. I love the Tokyo National Art Center by Kurokawa in Roppongi. It is a true shame he passed away a couple of years ago.
Wow, "wow out" in Sengawa, where I lived from 1988 - 1990. No museums there then. It was a big deal when a McDonald's opened in Sengawa. I love the area to see how much has changed over the years, and will visit this mueum for sure.
You have to be careful on your judgements based on video recordings and actual visits. In fact, once inside there are no bothering noises. I don't see any problem with the windows, they are not large enough to cause any problem viewing art works. And it's called Tokyo Art Museum, because it's in Tokyo. Sengawa-CHO is a district.
OK, the building itself is quite nice. But in fact, there is a LOT of traffic noise (single-pane windows looking onto busy street), even above the already loud AC/heating unit.
Also, I don't understand the grandiose name "Tokyo Art Museum" for this little museum way out in Sengawa.
AWESOME! This IS a museum... is SO narrow but nevertheless so BEAUTIFULLY detailed and lighted. The windows are pefectly placed and the lack any kind of noice is breathtaking, as all ANDO´s buildings.

Sorry. That's "way out," not "wow out."
