you must not listen to much American music, since most of it can claim roots to blues and jazz in some form or fashion (which would make it "my people's music", if i'm not mistaken). i'm sorry you feel that way though. i love music, and if i happen to not like jay z and share your sentiments on eminem, oh well. go listen to someone else. free country.
