He was an excellent wrestler back in the late '80s in the NWA with Rick Rude. Interesting story about his confrontations with Tully Blanchard. It's still fresh in his mind since '87.

I absolutely hate Fernandez. When I was 11 or 12 I went to watch NWA wrestling in Columbus Municipal Auditorium in Columbus Georgia. Me and a couple of friends just so happened to run into Fernandez in the back hallway and when we saw who it was we kindly asked for his autograph. This fuckin clown shoved me and another kid out of his way and said "piss off" as he walked away. So tell me, who's the coward??? The guy's a world class asshole.

I lived in Atlanta during the mid 80's, and I used to go to Turner studio's and watch the TV tapings. I met Ric Flair and many others. All were very cool, except for fernandez. He was a total jerk off. A fat, out of shape, flabby jerk-off.
