Bloomberg is logical and makes practical, realistic, and compassionate solutions. All those elements are important in policy making where people's emotions and bias guide them to wrong answers to solve the illegal immigration problem. Remember they commit 1% of the crimes reported in Philadelphia recently, contrary to popular opinion that crime is rife in this category.

Sean, are you willing to pay the higher taxes to deport them? No, I'll bet my home that you would bitch and cry about that as well. Just like one governor from california said, "Who's going to pay the billions of dollars to deport them?" Stop crying and see the real deal. Baby boomers are hitting retirement, we're going to need more people legally paying taxes. Enough said.

Retarded bigots like SeanScythe are going to keep America as retarded as themselves.
Bloomberg is a hero. That was some of the absolutely best voices on immigration.
Illegal immigrants make less than half the income of American citizens. They pay substantially less in taxes than they use in government services. Enforcement of immigration law would improve the financial position of federal and state governments.

One area where the two sides differ is the economic effects of illegal immigration. They have different answers to the questions: Do illegal immigrants take jobs away from Americans? Do illegal immigrants lower wage levels for Americans? Do illegal immigrants pay more in taxes than they use in government spending? Should illegal immigrants be allowed to receive welfare and other forms of government social spending?

Calling someone a "bigot" isn't argument. It is name calling and as such, uncivil behavior. I posted this hearing in full because I wanted people to have the opportunity to hear in full what politicians are saying about illegal immigration. Surprisingly, many people on both sides of the illegal immigration debate agree that the 1986 amnesty was a disaster. Some people on both sides also criticize free trade agreements (although here, Bloomberg is for free trade).
