Such a wacky and energetic cue. Very good animated opening too in the film.
-
Sounds just "La Villa Strangiato" by Rush.

@psychopathtoine It's not a ripoff, but hes emulating Raymond Scott's 1930's work. This is quite obvious to people who actually know this type of music. He never took credit for this theme.
-
Another rip off by James Horner

J'adore la B.O et le film ! Toute mon enfance, je l'ai vu tant de fois !

@ignoranceandwant Very true, but you have to admit, this is a better version. I really love this track, and it seems much more expanded and "fully realized" with better orchestration and cue creation. Not to write off the fact that James Horner does tend to utilize outer and inner sources, sometimes numerously to our displeasure (Troy for example), but he is one of our most important film composers in film today, composing for numerous films and creating spectacular pieces and enhancing cues.

I'm actually surprised this movie wasn't produced by Spielberg lol
-
Horner also ripped off the "Chimp Rumble" cue from "Project X," which he composed two years earlier.
-
@comandercool22 Horner got sued for this.

@wicket1979 It wouldn't surprise me...James Horner often reuses his music in different movies. An example of this would be the movie Aliens, it shares some of the same music used in Wolfen and also Patriot Games. Horner scored all three films.
-
This song is also used in the movie "project x" where the monkeys are running wild.

Great opening song. It reminds me a bit of Raymond Scott's "Powerhouse"

Powerhouse Inspired the soundtrack for this movie

@comandercool22 And don't forget Nino Rota's theme to Fellini's "Amarcord" in there.
