@futureswat93 it's a zytel. thermoplastic reinforced with fiberglass and rubber toughening. Very, very tough, even though it doesn't feel like it because it's so light.

Im definetly getting an Aegis, but im trying to decide between the tanto or the straight edge, and which color between black or camo. What do you reccomend?

@longer7575 its not a switchblade its called a spring assist knife and they are legal

@futureswat93 The handle is Zytel and does NOT have steel liners. SOG wanted a lightweight design so they did not use the liners. No strength is lost in my opinion. Zytel is extremely strong and if you need steel liners you should probably buy a fixed blade instead. That's my opinion at least. =)

I think they are aluminum
