The Alicia Keys song "Superwoman" is also the theme for the 2008 WNBA season. This video is from the opening game (May 17th) and features footage of all the teams and several players, including Lisa Leslie, Tina Thompson, Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi, Lauren Jackson, Deanna Nolan, Katie Smith, Becky Hammon, Alana Beard, Sheryl Swoopes, Candace Parker, Cappie Pondexter, Seimone Augustus, and Janel McCarville.

@souljasai Actually just last year the Chicago Sky, then the worst team in the league, played an exhibition game against a group of adult male celebrities who play in an Entertainment League together every weekend. The Sky won 102 to 55 against men twice their size like Michael Clark Duncan. But yeah, I'm sure you weekend warriors would totally kick their ass.

The fact is I could me and four other guys could slap together a team and beat a wnba team. Men>women at sports. Its not sexist to say this, just truth. If nobody believes me then what do you people honestly think would happen if the wnba all stars played the nba all stars? Or played the college allstars? Hell a good high school basketball would beat them.

gosh why do people have to compare the two leagues, why not appreciate each one as their own without criticism? they are obviously two different styles of play and you can like them or not. but that doesn't give you the right to say one's a joke.

@rburnsiv lol, why in God's name would you compare stats across leagues. Their FG% is irrelevant because they aren't facing nba players. You can't compare WNBA FG to NBA FG unless they face the same defensive pressure, which they definitely do not.
