July 20, 2009 Jupiter was again hit by something really really big. The impact result was about the size of the earth. So, I decided since no one else seemed to be doing anything about it, and I've always liked Jupiter, I'd take maters into my own hands and fix Jupiter.

This video is dedicated to Pluto -- still a planet in my heart.

  • where'd you get the fabulous spooky space noises? (I didn't figure out what they were till the sound of the spinning pulsar near the end)

  • @sunsdomain They're from the Cassini mission, publicly available. Go to goo dot gl forwardslash xzAJD or look up "Nasa Cassini Mission sounds" in google. Nasa has recorded lots of interesting space sounds and has them available on various websites. If you have difficulty finding the sounds just PM me and I'll send you links.

  • Jupiter's mass draws in objects that could possibly impact the earth. Thank's big guy : )

  • We should all thank the big guy. No earth without Jupiter sitting there protecting us.

  • Rumours abound that Fred has lost his pet Dino and that he hears barking from outer space - how could you have done such a thing?

  • Sssshh. Don't tell Fred. But I've always felt Dinosaurs should be free to soar (Dino-soar?), even if it's to Jupiter.

  • Very funny. :-| :-P p.s. those sounds are frieking spooky

  • There are other "dwarf" planets. One that was initially a labeled planet when discovered and then later demoted is Ceres. Fits the bill for a planet except for being among asteroids due to Jupiters gravitational influence. I remember a time when I could named all the known planets and their moons. Hah! I don't even try anymore. The universe holds wonders unlimited, waiting for us to have the eyes to see them.

  • Astronomers to meet August 3 in Rio de Janeiro and Pluto's status likely to be unchanged. But American scientist aren't giving up since Pluto is the only planet discovered by an American.
