Please be very careful with this. Some dogs are fine with it but others will become obsessed and wind up with an OCD, which in cogs is called "canine stereotypy" or "shadow chasing,"or "Canine Compulsive Disorder." It is a medical condition which often needs treatment with drugs. Some dogs such as Labs and Golden Retrievers among others, are more apt to develop this disorder. A stereotypy like this can increase in severity and can overshadow a dog's and owner's life.
