E News Channel interviews Siphiwe Nzimande, the CEO of Business Against Crime South Africa, on the President's first State of the Nation Address and the issue of crime. Nzimande says that Business Against Crime South Africa (BACSA) has welcomed the commitment by Government to address Violent and Organised crime and the work of improving the Criminal Justice System with new energy and vigour.

Nzimande explains that BACSA mobilises the business response to crime threats in conjunction with Government partners. The organisation hopes that confidence will be built in the system and that criminals will be deterred from doing crime when they know that there is a high likelihood of being caught for wrongdoing. The task of the new Government will be to ensure that this happens.

This interview was broadcast on the ETV news Channel on 4 June 2009 at 7:03 am in response to the State of the Nation address the previous day.
