too cool ...how do you attach the cage to the sculpture after that...it looks welded...and the smooth design really makes the metal and glass look organic...great job!!..:)

I make sure the cage has long ears with small pieces already attached so the connection is only in a few places. The glass fills three quarters of the cage leaving the ears sticking out the top. That's where I begin the body build. A few inches away from the glass. Where I'm close, I slip leather between where I'm welding and the glass. Yes, everything is in fact welded. Risky but cool.

ok sooo how in the heck did you get the glass blown in to the cage I work for a glass blower ..and I am not sure how you did it..?

First I build a cage. Mount it onto a stand and give it to the glass shop. The trick is to get the cage built in a way that supports the liquid glass and also has an opening large enough to drop in. The issue is that you don't get a second chance because you cant stick the entire cage into a glory hole if it cools off. You need to get it right the first time. It's way cool!
