And we're looking at Aiptek's 3D Photo Frame and I2 3D video camcorder here. The 3D photo frame doesn't 3D glasses to appreciate since there's a special substrate on the LCD panel that enables in to be 3D ready. You'll have to stand around the center though to fully appreciate the punchy effect. The I2 3D video camcorder on the other hand, serves to let you capture these images in 3D for your 3D photo frame. You can also convert these 3D images to appear in 3D in regular 2D monitors, but you will need those retro blue and red glasses to see the image, which wouldn't be as good if it were displayed on a native 3D display. It has a 3D LCD by the way.

  • Should be out in asia by that time, but it'll really depend on Aiptek's partners if they'll carry it in their respective countries by that time. So we could be looking at a later date.

  • not bad 3d camcorder. pity it's the size of a tennis racket.

  • This weeks special Viewspnic 3D camcorder : $159 from J & R electronics

Please don't upgade it to a newer version. I fried mine 2 days ago and tech. support does not help you because europeon website is not recognized by US tech. support.

  • Its sad how these companies like Viewsonic ,Aiptek and DXG are taking credit of introducing the first 3D pocket camcorder. In fact the reality is that some chinese manufacturers are producing these cameras but are unable to sell on their own so these copanies mentioned above are buying these camcorder from them and re-labelling them and selling as if its their own invention.

  • @Scrabbler27 oh it works great :)

  • @awsomemaster0101 What do you think of it ? I really really want one!

  • mine is getting here Tuesday!

  • ive seen the official aiptek videos on youtube, and the verticals are out. now i don't know if the lenses on the camcorder out not aligned 100%, or if it was processed using the auto anaglyph software but either way, both left and right images should be handled manually in post to get great results, otherwise a very interesting camera that ill buy when its released.

  • Price € 249,99 (210,08 exc BTW.)

  • amazon says it's to be released on august 15
