Drop in on the student chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineeers (ASCE) and learn what the excitement is about, as UAA hosts other Pacific Northwest universities in this annual event. There's more than bridges here. UAA threw in a curve; the competition normally includes launching concrete canoes, but Alaska lakes were still frozen April 1 , so UAA suggests an alternative: curling with concrete. The students in this video especially want to thank their faculty advisor, Dr. T. Bart Quimby!
