Sie sind schon seit Jahren erfolgreich, sie verkaufen ungeheuer viele Schallplatten, und orientieren sich eigentlich in ihrer musikalischen Karriere an drei großen B: nämlich an Burt Bacharach, an den Beatles und an den Beach Boys. Aber sie haben ihren eigenen Stil gefunden, und sind, wie gesagt, sehr erfolgreich. Und wir freuen uns,
dass sie da sind: Die Carpenters.

This time they are especially famous and especially well-known and very popular - and not only in the United States, but nearly in the whole Western world.
They are sister and brother, and the fans among you may of course know whom I am talking about.
They are successful since many years, they are selling enormously many records, and they are orientating their carreer after three big B's: Burt Bacharach, the Beatles and the Beach Boys. However, they have found their own style they are very successful with.
And we are glad to have them in our show: The Carpenters.]

I met Karen in 1971. Her voice was pure, and her heart was filled with goodness. She and Richard truly were on the top of the world. In passing, she gave voice to the problems of Anorexia Nervosa. That may have been her greatest contribution to the world. We lost an incredible talent, but more so, a remarkable person who had just begun to live. She is missed. xoxo
