@basketstar1001 OK, continuing education requirements I know all about. When you say "team-building", though, what I hear is the kind of corporate buzzword schlock they use side-by-side with "trust exercises" and other such useless garbage.
-
@daltonultra Lol, they're seminars, we can pick and choose which ones we want to take, depending on our own clinics needs, and it's continuing education hours. Something every vet and vet technician HAS TO DO EVERY YEAR. God, you're fucking ignorant. Laws may be different in Ohio, but people are sue-happy everywhere you go.
-
@basketstar1001 And now we get to WHY you'er so sadly misinformed... "Team-building squads"? Are you serious? Are you not the type of person who can simply DO YOUR GADDAM JOB, without some corporate motivational hack with no experience in your field coming in to tell you all about what you're doing wrong? Maybe things are a little different down there in lawsuit-happy Texas, but in Ohio, nobody is going to blink at holding your own cat at the vet.
-
@daltonultra Regardless of education, they should know better than to risk their Veterinary license. That's rudimentary, and the team-building squads the companies send constantly remind us, so she couldn't have forgotten. Apparently you are worth risking their entire career, so congrats on being a good client.

@basketstar1001 My "backwoods vet" is a teaching vet at the OSU Animal Hospital. I have a feeling she knows exactly what risks she is or isn't taking.

@daltonultra Hypocrite much? Do you not understand that YOUR situation does not apply as a blanket to all others? Cats that are PERFECT at home will suddenly flip out at the vet, their very FIRST visit. You are not some kind of cat whisperer and neither am I, but I deal with thousands of cats while you deal with your three or four. I'm glad you have your cats under control, good for you. But your backwoods vet is putting his license at risk for you, that's all you need to understand

@basketstar1001 "Improper handling techniques". No shit? I don't give a crap about your sedatives. Simply put, if a cat has reached this state, something has gone WRONG. The cat has been traumatized through mis-handling or abuse. Properly socialized, properly handled cats DO NOT react like this. Now, you've made it pretty clear you're not capable of understanding my point, so prattle on as long as you like. I'll go back to MY vet, and we'll have a good laugh at your expense.
WE NEED AN EXORCISM!
