Good point, especially about looking into the role prescription anti-depressants play in the tragedies you've mentioned besides VA Tech.
Also, the "shocked and confused" part of my reply refers to how seeing family members of two students killed in and at least two survivors of the VA Tech shootings joining with the Brady Campaign (even with good intentions) while reading Sarah Brady's quote makes me feel that these famlily members and survivors want everyone (good and bad) disarmed.

Don't be confused. Gun control is about control, not guns. That is why it is very important to oppose any anti-gun legislation, no matter how benign it may appear.
If people really wanted to stop these killings, they would look into the role prescription anti-depressants play in these types of events. Cho Seung-Hui was prescribed Prozac, as were the perpetrators of the Columbine and Jokela school massacres.

Thanks for finding and posting this quote, clutch1245. I've just seen new videos posted by the Brady Campaign. They have an account here on YouTube and I came across these videos (under the "2009 House Bill Introduced to Close the Gun Show Loophole" playlist) while doing a Google Video search on one of those killed in the 4-16-2007 Virginia Tech Massacre. Just seeing these "new faces" in these videos while reading the above Sarah Brady quote leaves me shocked and confused.

That's what registration is ... it's the governments PERMISSION to have a gun. When that happens, it's the state that has usurped the issuance of the RIGHT. I'm glad he said that at the end. This is the key point. It would be like the government saying that you had to have a permit to live!

As a member of GOA (Gun Owners of America) I find Eric Holder to be completely ignorant of the Second Amendment and our constitutional right to bear arms as individuals. We will rue the day when someone with his mindset takes office.
