@571981 He was a terrible King domestically, brilliant general, he was constantly in foreign wars a some of those in France but its no big surprise he spoke French, he was of the line of Monarchy descended from Willem the Conquer, a French king who invaded England in 1066 and he went to the holy land, where most of the Europeans there were French. Also Russia had its own reasons for disposing of their Royal Family, The UK has never had such reasons to, except maybe in the English Civil War.

@571981 I agree we wouldn't loose much more then national pride, if the royal family were to go, but the way you say it is as if they ruin our image? We actually make money from them not just in tourism but in some strange loophole of the rules, (See /watch?v=bhyYgnhhKFw). The UK isn't effected by the Queen, she is more of a cosmetic feature of the government, we are a Democratic Republic, like everyone else except we never kicked our monarch out. Richard I also never spent much time in the UK.

@ghostt23 >> also France has equally wealth history with England and they used to have royal family... ( actually all your royal family is "made in" France, kings like -Richard I- used to speak only france and he had no interest to learn english ) also Russia used to have royal family, now both they dont, they lost nothing by loosing the royal family. Never mind...
-
@ghostt23 this my opinion, I am from a country with the wealthiest history in the world, greece, we used to have monarchy, then democracy, then again monarchy and again democracy... nothing of these changed our history... nothing of these changed even our language the oldest alive. When you put the word democracy and monarchy next to each other and you see no problem then you probably dont believe in democracy that much >>
-
@571981 Why can't you have a Democracy and a Monarchy? Specially when the monarchy is powerless? It's called a Constitutional Monarchy. It's history as well as tradition, your point of "People, in some societies, used to sacrifice other people in the name of their god and that was also a tradition." Means nothing, sorry but this is country with a wealth of history and the monarchy is one of the pillars of our history, I don't see a reason to lose them. Just no direct influence in the government.

and reptilians that make you mine it for them! watch out!
-
@ghostt23 you can't have democracy and a Royal Family, it is a joke. People, in some societies, used to sacrifice other people in the name of their god and that was also a tradition, so your excuse has no sense. Cousin fucker is what royal family is. UK has so much more to proud, artists, scientists, authors etc. you don't need any royal family.
-
@dongma The problem is that if you don't accept it, you end up with even more publicity (cf. Grigori Perelman rejecting the fields medal), he explained this in some other interview.

We need more Feynmans!!!

I have loved the rest of the series, but I feel like this episode was hijack for current political purposes, just number 2. Would have Richard agreed with it? Probably. But, he can't rightfully say so, and neither can you. Just asking be respectful and please don't shamelessly use his name for your own agenda. It's gross.......
There are three kinds of people in this world:
People who obsess over gold,
People who want gold,
People who realise that gold is made in a supernova.
