Sam Ogden, contributing writer for the wildly popular skeptical blog, Skepchick, sits down with Dr. Eugenie Scott of the National Center for Science Education for a conversation about the NCSE, the evolution of the creationist movement, women in science and skepticism, and more. Part 9 is the last in the series, and we wrap things up with upcoming events for fall '09.

  • I'm curious about Eugenie Scott's taste in music -- what does she like to listen to?

  • Thanks for uploading. Dr. Scott is a excellent. I wish she would accept just one debate though against the imbacilic Wendy Wright so she could set her straight!

  • We call it "Care in the Community" in the UK.

Unfortunately, it also means we get psychos on the streets. (One look at an Islamic demonstration and its "behead the unbelievers" placards will show what I mean)

  • I really enjoyed this interview; thank you very much Skepchick, Sam and Dr. Eugenie Scott :-)

  • Great job, man!

  • Thanks for all the positive comments.

And I'm still working on reducing the intros to make the series a bit more viewer friendly. May take a while, but we'll load the updated videos eventually.

  • Great job Sam!

  • Very cool conversation/interview... ★★★★★

  • Great interview Sam. Its reassuring to know Eugenie Scott and the NCSE are out there actively promoting good science education. Thanks alot for this. Really interesting

  • Most believers function well on a day-to-day basis, so their delusion doesn't seriously affect their social lives and careers.

It's compartmentalization, I guess. Preferred treatment: education. (-:
