  • Does this model have heated hand holds?

  • @MrTodd198126

Not with the base model but you can get them as an accessory from any Ariens dealer.

  • hi im about to purchase of the compact 24s from home depot, im just wondering if it will already come with oil in the engine. thanks.

  • @hummer11111 It does but we recommend always checking your oil level before operating your machine. Be sure to check your engine manual for specific details.

  • im buying a troy bilt my first snow blower are they good but i no u might say no since your from ariens but tell me wat u think thanks

  • @Mrtopgamer11 Things to look at before you decide...Ariens features all-steel construction, the cast iron gear case, large impellers and a long history of durability. We've also got a 3 year warranty. Do a few video searches for old Ariens snowblowers. You'll see people running models from back in the '60s. Can even stop by our Facebook page and ask our customers directly. We're sure they'd be happy to help answer any questions you might have.

  • I have a 1973 6hp Ariens snow thrower and it still works well. All steel construction with a simple reliable transmission. Each winter, I figure that it will be the last one for my Ariens. However, I don't think this thing will ever die!

Yes it's the same with most if not all brands. Manufacturers don't like to put much grease on things, looks ugly to consumers and collects dust. This is something you can do yourself but remember to use light grease as it will be thick (viscous) when cold.

It wouldn't do any good to know, everyone is now rating by cc displacement and the reason they switched is because old HP ratings were inaccurate, they were max output ratings by an engine manufacturer while the application and de-tuning/lower revs for longer life resulted in lower actual HP but it was a GOOD thing. Suffice to say, several brands of blower are very similar & have sufficient engines for their design. BTW, 208cc engine looks like LTC brand.

  • The chute on mine is difficult to rotate. It does not turn smoothly. I also noticed this on the ones I tried in the store. Has anyone else noticed this?

  • @hummer11111 just saying sometimes they wont give the manual so always check
