I was invited by Chris Moore to join her 4th grade class on a field trip on Friday February 11, 2011. I asked where and what we were doing. She told me it was a surprise and that I would definitely like it. I said "sign me up"! Horace, Christy, and I met Chris and her class at the school, along with CJ, the Principal, and we proceeded to walk about 5-6 blocks. Suddenly we arrived at the Classic Center, where we were about 11 hours earlier for the Widespread Panic 25th Anniversary show!

Garrie Vareen, WSP Equipment Manager greeted us at the door. He said to follow him through the theatre in a single file line. We ended up on stage where there were about 30 chairs set up. Garrie explained how he and the crew come to a venue and get everything set up for a show. Then he introduces Sunny to our group and we get a percussion clinic that was about an hour long. Watching Garrie and Sunny interact with the kids was priceless. Some of the questions that they asked were great and Sunny answered them beautifully. I could not thank Chris enough for inviting me. The only thing left to do was hit Weaver D'S with my cohorts for some Killer Fried Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese, Squash Casserole, and some Sweet Tea!
